There was a later bogus issue made by the same but broken overprint chop in deep violet color (Kerr 182.17-32). Kerr noticed there were two different overprints but he didn’t follow up this topic (Kerr 182.24a-25a, 182.30a-31a). This bogus issue only exists unused. I highlighted with green arrows the differences to an original / genuine issue:

1.) “民” is at right side broken (around the middle)
2.) “中” damaged lower right
3.) “國” damaged bottom stroke
Remarks:
– All shown sets exists (at least some stamps of each set) genuine used on domestic covers.
– Fake covers existing with an impossible postage rate like 20 分 (postmark date on fake covers is 27 April 1946).
